Spirited for success

CPH World Media is a melting pot of challenges that you will face every day. It is an atmosphere where you will be able to utilize your area of specialty and experience to the brim, where you will come across peers with the same degree of hunger for success as yours. Although you will touch base with reality’s responsibilities from day one, you will be cushioned with just enough support and guidance to succeed.

Perhaps most motivating about the company is that there is much to be learned regularly. That is one of the reasons why many employees who join the team remain part of it year on year. Check out our varying departments and their members.

Mr. Fathi Chatila – President & Publisher of Chatila Publishing House (CPH)

In 1960, Mr. Fathi Chatila graduated from the University of Miami, Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. He joined the Ministry of Water and Electricity in 1961 and then the UNDP team overtaking the Hydro-Geological Studies for Lebanon where he studied of the interior basics, namely Litani, Hasbani, and Orontes.

In 1970, Mr. Fathi joined a newly formed department in the ministry known as “Geology and Hydrology”.

In 1977, Mr. Fathi resigned from his post to start his dream project with his wife Mona and voyage new waters: publishing Arab Water World (AWW) magazine. The first issue came into being in January 1977.

AWW magazine has remained to this day a leading and pioneering publication in the water, wastewater, desalination, and energy sectors in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. The rest, as they say, is history…You can browse and know more throughout this website.

Mr. Mohamad Rabih Chatila – Position: President & CEO of CPH World Media

Having graduated in 2002 with a BS in Architecture from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Mohamad Rabih Chatila – son of Mr. Fathi Chatila (CPH President & Publisher) and the late Mrs. Mona Chatila (Former Administrative Manager – Former Mail & Services Manager) – was driven by his passion since the early 1990s to join the media business via Chatila Publishing House (CPH). In 1993, he took his first step as a Mail & Services Coordinator.

In 1998, Mohamad Rabih assumed the duties of an Assistant Editor & Researcher with proactive participation and noticeable contribution in various other departments, all the while trying to improve the overall management and structure of CPH.

Through hard work, dedication and elevated responsibility in upholding his tasks and assignments, Mohamad Rabih gradually advanced through the CPH career lane, having been promoted in 2000 to the position of Editor & Researcher and again in 2001 to Managing Editor & Assistant General Manager. In July 2002, upon graduating from the American University of Beirut (AUB) as an Architect, Mohamad Rabih was promoted to General Manager of CPH.

Mohamad Rabih is a strong worker in the mission of CPH, which is “Helping Advance MENA & Beyond”. In order to achieve this objective, he makes sure all needed efforts are being made so that all CPH media bring real, useful, and up-to-date information to readers and clients. Furthermore, he has continuously insisted on having a bilingual approach in various CPH media in order to make sure that the information is reached by the maximum number of people throughout the MENA region and beyond.

Mohamad Rabih’s ambition and expectations for CPH are very high. This is because such an institution that has, since its inception in 1977, been dedicated to helping advance developing regions and all the companies within the MENA working in industries that are fundamental to humanity, deserves nothing but the very best.

Finally, Mohamad Rabih always mentions, and fervently, to colleagues and friends at CPH that “The sky is way beyond the limit” and keeps acting accordingly!
